About this Costume
Construction Details:
I used an old Burda hoodie pattern that I had sitting around and lengthened it to about midbutt length.
I had to seriously mess with dye mixtures to get the color I wanted. Not only was the hoodie material only 10%cotton, but Kyoko has such varying shades of blue/green/turquoise going on from scene to scene or figure to figure.
I discovered that RIT dye has Pantone color recipes on their website and that helped IMMENSELY. So, I picked a color I liked best and ran with it.
The white stripes are thin grosgrain ribbon that was meticulously measured out. The difference between the sleeves and the bottom of the hoodie bother THE SHIT out of me, but I was running short on time and just let it go.
I also learned how to make magical hidden/welt pockets! :D
I then just added strips of fur to one of the only pair of shorts I own. :< I had to rip it all off so they didn't end up as permanent cosplay shorts. I'm going to have to redo them when Summer sales hit.
The boots were originally black, so I hit them with floral spray paint.
Personal Thoughts:
ANOTHER ONE! 8D The Madoka movies were FINALLY hitting Colorado, so I threw together her untransformed clothing for the occasion. <3 I wanted to have something slightly more comfortable to sit through a 4 hour movie in.

Adventures in dye mixing! WOO!!

Styling Notes
There was some wefts that tore away from the elastic and the hooks broke, but that is all nothing that a needle and thread couldn't fix!
Wig Review
Same wig as my other Kyoko wig. :)
