About this Costume
Construction Details:
The dress was made by mashing together two different Vintage Vogue patterns (1 for the top and 1 for the skirt) and then drafting and attaching a sailor collar and neckerchief. The dress is made from cotton stretch sateen for the top and some "premium" cotton for the skirt and collar. The neckerchief is made from the reverse side of some left over Casa satin. Shoes are round toe pumps that I bought at Payless and painted blue.
Personal Thoughts:
I love 1950's fashion and I love Sailor Moon, so it seemed only right to combine the two! This is a really fun costume to wear, and I plan to wear it again in the near future. I gave up the fight with the "invisible" zipper that I used for this costume, but that's really the only aspect that I'm disappointed about.
Wig Details
Wig Brand
Epic Cosplay
Wig Name
15" Straight Short
Original Color:
Dark Blue
Styling Time
20 minutes
Styling Notes
The front of this wig is LONG, just as long as the back of the wig, so it had to be trimmed up considerably. Layers were cut into the bangs and the sides, to help give it a bit more shape and that stereotypical "anime" look
Wig Review
I really like the color of this wig, it's a nice true blue; and it fits really well, like every other Epic wig I've worn.
