When I first watched K-ON! I was so in love with the ending song. I thought Mugi was so cute with the huge ball of hair on top of her head. This costume presented many challenges, especially since it was my first time doing any wigwork. I referenced many Sailor Moon wig tutorials in the process. I used bridal satin for the dress, which had just the right amount of shine. It is a dress meant to be worn for performance, after all. The fabric was amazing and worked perfectly for the costume. The dress is fully lined. The earrings were fun to make, too. They are wooden beads with green glitter glued all around. :) This costume won "Excellent Craftsmanship Expert Division" at Ani-Magic 2009.
