Construction Details:

Dragon*Con was my first large, non-anime event (it sure took me long enough)! I was racking my brain to come up with live-action characters that I loved. Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean was first to mind. I loved her as a prim and proper maide, and I loved her even more as a sword-wielding badass. This costume is from the very middle of her evolution. She's pretending to be a pirate, but certainly doesn't consider herself one yet!
