Construction Details:

Base costume bought from MicCostumes- it was only $50...which is what convinced me to purchase! Significantly altered the top for a better fit and hourglass shape. Also replaced all the buttons (need to add in more!) and remade the collar tie. Skirt was actually quite decent! All it needed was a new belt! Stockings were purchased and layered. The shoes were adorned with pearl detail. A 1950's shapewear corset is worn underneath for that bombshell figure!

Styling Notes

Pin curled the entire wig, set with steam and heat. Released the curls and carefully brushed out and encouraged the vintage/pageboy inspired shape. Used a taught string to deepen the pageboy shape in the back of the wig. Set with spray and heat. Recurled the front with a barrel curl then pinned in place and set with spray and heat.

Wig Review

Sounds relatively easy, but this wig took a LOT of effort. Arda fibers seem not to like this kind of styling and it was a challenge to get the curls to take and keep their shape unlike other wigs I've worked with. It's a temperamental style that requires a lot of upkeep before each wear but photographs so nicely!
