Construction Details:

Bodice/corset is from a bridal pattern that I'll grab the number for at some point, laces up the back, lined and boned but still a little too big for me so I'll need to take it in before I wear this again. Purple miniskirt was a circle skirt made out of crepe casa satin I had lying around, sheer overskirt is thicker organza that I bought ages ago; also a circle skirt that I then cut the scallops/petals into. Slapped on some of that ridiculously expensive $26/yard bridal trim I got on sale at Joann's thanks to coupons. Edges are trimmed with cotton bias tape because satin looked weird. Crown is craft foam sealed with mod podge and spray painted gold, veil is tulle with some more of that expensive bridal trim that I gathered with the machine and then hot glued to a comb that slides into the wig. Necklace, armband, and bouquet were commissioned by a friend! Earrings I bought ages ago on ebay (not that you can see them but they're there and accurate!) BIG SKIRT: SUFFERING ETERNALLY. I patterned out a circle skirt slightly larger than my waist in two halves; sewed one edge of them together and then overlapped them in the front. I just kind of kept cutting out curved sections on the bias until I could see the circle skirts underneath, then used a bowl to pattern the scallops. These were very hastily hemmed before the convention but I'd like to do a satin stitch along the edges instead (I was running out of white thread before the con and didn't want to risk it!) Purple bits are ribbon hotglued to this because I make poor life decisions and procrastinate. I baste stitched all three skirts together and then added a waistband and invisible zipper and finished it off by hotgluing the two roses to the front of the dress. Not bad for starting work three days before the con! Shoes are by funtasma. Super comfy, surprisingly enough.

Personal Thoughts:

!!! FINALLY did another version of Sheryl! Not entirely satisfied with this but still pretty happy overall!
