About this Costume

The hair clip was made from one that I found at walmart--I covered it, then cut out some craft foam in the shape of her clip, drew on it, and hot-glued it on to the base.
The cording between the pauldrons, both belts, and all the little pouches are pretty much made completely out of Yaya Han's red 4-way stretch pleather.
The little bags are lined with a red fabric I found in the remnant bin at JoAnns, and they close with earth magnets sandwiched between the main fabric and the lining.
All the armor (pauldrons, chest pieces, and gauntlet) were made from black worbla. I primed them with white plasti dip, spray painted with a burgundy spray paint, and sealed with a krylon matte finish spray. This was my first time working with any thermoplastic, so I did A LOT of research to figure out techniques and stuff.
The shoes started as some really cute ankle boots from Payless shoes. The bootcovers were made from a burgundy wet look spandex that I ordered from Remnant Warehouse, which I guess is a fabric store in Australia?? God bless the internet, is all I can say about that. There's a glove underneath the gauntlet as well, and it's made from the same fabric. So is the collar piece!
The bow/ribbons in back were inspired heavily from Yuna's obi in FFX, and also because I came across an adorable double-layered hairbow and thought it would be really cute to bring into this project as well. (That's the good thing about this outfit having zero official shots from the back--I can just MAKE STUFF UP!!) The back layer of the bow is Yaya Han's stretch pleather again, and the front layer/ribbons are made out of twill from fabric.com.
The dress is made from a rayon blend, again from fabric.com. I dug around on Etsy for a pattern, and got really lucky with one for an empire-waist dress! I didn't have to modify it at all. - Personal Thoughts:
- On my list of overall favorite female characters from video games, Ritz is in the top two/three--Jenna and Sheba from Golden Sun are tied for first, ahaha. My old FFTA cartridge has almost as much hours on it as my GSTLA file.
