About this Costume
Construction Details:
The red tank top is a knit fabric that was on clearance at Hancock fabrics! I traced around a racerback shirt in my closet for a pattern. I actually made two of them, because the first one I made was just a bit too tight and I wasn't a fan of the way the armholes were sitting.

I'm wearing a black tank top from my closet, so those are the second straps there, but the black "collar" part and scallops are attached to the red shirt and made out of a nice black rib knit from JoAnn's. The collar part was attached by heat&bond!
n
nThe black bike shorts were purchased from Forever 21, and the white shorts were purchased from Target and slightly modified for length/fit. Shoes were white canvas hi-tops purchase from Forever 21, and then I modified the crap out of them with Rit dye/Tulip soft fabric paint.
n
nThe bow was made from a linen look from Joanns, and some scraps of a white fabric I had left over. Along with a bunch of interfacing... It's attached to the wig directly by some wig clips.
n
nThe bag was made from yellow and green twill purchased from Hancock, some medium-weight interfacing, a black 5-gauge zipper from Wawak, and a buckle from Pacific Trim. The buckle was originally silver, but I spray-painted it black.
n
nMy pokeball props were purchased from ebay, and my Vulpix plushie was purchased from the Pokemon Center in Tokyo!!
Personal Thoughts:
Sapphire Version was one of my favorite games growing up--Crystal has a special place in my heart, but Sapphire was just so FUN for so many reasons. So I was OVERJOYED when I found out a Hoenn remake was finally happening, and bought it the day it came out!!! (insert trumpet emojis)

Styling Notes
I basically parted it straight down the middle to create the two side pieces, and then pulled from there to create her little ponytail. I also had to trim the bangs a bit. I then sprayed the whole thing with Got2b to keep it all in place. As I mentioned above, the hairbow/headband thing was attached via wig clips sewed directly on to the hairband itself.
