Construction Details:

I put this costume together in the two weeks between our sudden decision to attend Youmacon and the convention itself. We were planning not to make anything due to another obligation but when things fell through with work I decided to throw this together.

I drafted and draped all the patterns used in this costume. The mantle is brown suede-look material with applique numerals made from gold poly shantung. The bias tape is also gold poly shantung. The cape is Spinach Casa satin and gold poly shantung. The brown is the suede look material. It's entirely lined in white as per the artwork. The dress is white crepe and entirely lined. The designs are hand painted on. The satin stitching on the all of the applique is done in metallic embroidery thread. I used gold and topaz AB beads on the shoulder drapes. The shoes covers and leggings are made from Olive spandex from Spandex World. They're held up with custom garters I made from ballet elastic. I also made the gloves with some leftover white matte Miliskin I had in my fabric stash. The stand up collar is the gold poly shantung, and I used a medium weight fusible interfacing to help it stand up. The halo is made from Worbla.
