Construction Details:

First, the pattern was traced into the wood and with the help of my dad, I cut the wood with a hand saw. The ends were also cut and glued in. I used a wooden dowel as the handle.

Personal Thoughts:

I would say that I'm proud of this sword, though I wish I could use it more often. I had it for AnimeNEXT 2014 and Anime Expo 2014 when I was ALO Kirito. I'm surprised how strong that wooden dowel handle is since the rest of the sword is really heavy.
