About this Costume
Construction Details:
The skirt was made from a black cotton sateen with white bias tape sewn on the hem and sides. I need to install belt loops around the waistline, but the red belt was just stolen from a vintage dress I have. The shirt is just my go-to button-down with a fake collar and cuffs pinned on made from the same materials as the skirt. The neck tie was made from red sateen. I just pulled the bird pendant from my choker for my standard Infinite incarnations of Liz. The shoes and stockings were a trip to find--the stockings are two layered pairs of fencenet stockings and vintage backseam pantyhose because I was so hell-bent on being accurate as possible. The t-straps are t-straps but they have matching wing-tips with contrasting blacks to my Booker's shoes so it's really cute, haha.

This review was supposed to be in the wigs section, but it wasn't cooperating: Not to get wordy, but I just want to leave a MASSIVE shout out to this shop. Not only are their wigs super quality. They had the perfect wig for Liz in black and blonde, and I sent them an email asking if they took requests/were able to make existing styles in existing colors, even if those combinations weren't listed on the site. I wasn't expecting them to consent but damnit, if I wasn't going to try! They said they'd ask their suppliers, and then they sent me examples of three different shades of dark brown for me to choose from, including the perfect Elizabeth color, and had this wig custom ordered for me. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
Personal Thoughts:
I cranked this out in the hotel room at AX 2014 because I was upset nothing except Ryuko got done, I was exhausted, and I somehow had time to kill if I was just going to be in the room resting away from the smog and crowds. It was SO WORTH IT. The shirt was "fake" (I fully planned on making my own, but instead I just made a fake collar and cuffs and fashion taped/pinned them on), so I'll make a new one later, but completing Elizabeth bingo was so great and I felt great!!
