About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I was really lucky to find a silk already with the right gradient, I just had to add the black. The peach / red was part of the fabric. This was a lot of firsts- working with silk, gradient dying, cut-outs, flowers growing out of my hips, etc. Many new cosplay vocabulary terms were introduced- pubic lace, ass-thigh, etc. I rushed this for the con, so I never finished all the painting, and didn't put a closure on the top. I had to be sewn into it (I have good friends). My undies were also stitched into the skirt to keep things in place.
The big flower was made of foamie, gently curled with heat and then painted. Agent Bishie made the geta and necklace. - Personal Thoughts:
- This is an old costume, but I just noticed it wasn't posted! I made this for a big Magna Carta 2 group at Otakon 2006. I didn't make it far enough through the game (terrible gameplay mechanics, it moved very slowly) to see her, so this is that rare instance of cosplaying a character because I like her design.
This was also worn in the first masquerade skit I've ever done! It was really scary, but a lot of fun.
