About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume took about 4 months to complete from beginning to end, with breaks here and there. I went for a literal and extremely accurate version of Aela (to the best of my abilities anyway). Although I realized afterwards I put the warpaint on backwards... that will be fixed in my official photoshoot later on! :-P The garment is made from naturally aged, distressed, and weathered suede. The armor was made from craft foam, wonderflex, and moldable plastic, with special care to accurately recreate the shapes, swirly designs, and hammer dents. This whole costume was very difficult to recreate accurately, even though it looks skimpy, and the construction process seemed to never end! For more detailed construction notes check out my blog post on it >> http://lyddidesign.com/blog/aela-the-huntress-costume/

The helmet you see in some pictures was made by Volpin Props. I got the base helmet as a Christmas present (yay!), and I dremelled, assembled, and painted it myself.
Personal Thoughts:
I personally LOVE the ancient nord armor set. I'm also a lover of red hair and wanted to wear awesome war paint, so I went with Aela.

Styling Notes
I straightened out all the curls and cut it myself, with an attempt to give it layers. Lets just say it has an authentic Skyrim "cut with a dagger" look. I also went back later and ventilated pumpkin and light copper red into the hairline.
Wig Review
This wig was gorgeous, I hated cutting it up!!! I also feel the color is very tasteful , realistic, and accurately represents Aela.
