About this Costume
Construction Details:
Got a bit of help from Vartan on styling my hair, and some sewing tips from christeenapants for the mask. Had too much fun sewing together crappy burlap and silk lining onto the inside. Used free syringes we hand out at the pharmacy I work at, filled them with Gatorade and glued the caps on.
Personal Thoughts:
I've had Jonathan Crane suggested to me a few times since cosplaying Clark Kent, and I immediately thought of Nolan's rendition. Katsu gave me an excuse to both dress business-like and gratify my mancrush on Cillian Murphy.

Closet cosplay except for the burlap mask and syringes (only way I could figure to illustrate his fear toxin outside the mask and hidden gas sprayers), but I kept them in a briefcase most of the time until someone asked me who I was cosplaying, if I was at all... at which point I would grimace, take off my glasses, and ask, "Would you like to see my mask?"

It only got better when I visited the guests' party with Chiara Scuro and somebody handed me a commemorative lighter.

Had an awesome time getting into character for a shoot with PhotoNinja. Gave him a good chuckle when he found all the Woodchuck I had stashed in my briefcase.

I had meant to wear this for a group with christeenapants as Selina Kyle, Technopoptart as Poison Ivy, and The Only Angel as Harley Quinn, but I got tied up in the Artist Alley. Still crossing my fingers that I'll get the chance again some other con.

If I do wear this again, I'll include the noose from his appearance at the beginning of The Dark Knight and add a few more details to the mask.
