About this Costume

I made and wore this cosplay for NYCC2012
Materials:
Black Zentai suit, 1 gallon black liquid latex, 16oz red liquid latex, craft foam, craft mesh wire, hot glue, 3D paint, and lots of foam brushes.
Basically I put the suit on, a friend painted the latex on after we peeled it off I mixed some latex with acrylic paint to brighten the color and painted on the spiders and the shoulder stripe...things. used 3D paint for the webs on the suit and the mask. (Ended up painting a layer of latex over the suit webs to help them stick.)
The Spidey Lenses were sketched on paper and then traced on to craft foam. Made 4 cutouts. Also made 4 cut outs of the metal mesh. Hot glued the mesh layers between the foam and then glued them to the mask with E5000 (I don't advise doing this. It's dumb. I'm dumb. Don't do it.)
So yeah.
It's a liquid latex suit.
Surprisingly comfy. Very flexible, sturdy, a bit cold in the beginning of October but really versatile. - Personal Thoughts:
- I've loved Spider-Man since before I could read and I love USM from Peter to Miles. So, when the 13 year-old showed up I knew I just HAD to cosplay him.
