Construction Details:

Top: There isn't a pattern at any of the stores that matched or even came close to this particular top.. So essentially, I made my own halter top pattern and a separate collar pattern and two triangle pieces pattern. And of course the long train on the back of the top. The inside of the top is lined with a gray plastic fabric. It's a good thing I did, during this particular shoot, I had to drag it all over the ground, but the dust came right off! The collar was made with heavy weight interfacing and I hand stitched the two sides of the collar. The zipper, that was an interesting dilemma... Miku's top had a double zipper that zipped up and down.. I wanted to make sure mine had that. I wish my zipper had been silver so it's more visible on the outfit. However, I did manage to get a 24 inch double zipper. It is a functional zipper. I have to put it on quite oddly, but it does work:) Armbands: I made a pattern for armbands, essentially just two bell shaped pattern for each arm. I bought these 4 inch wide straps used for making belts, I cut them into 2 inch strips then added buckles to each and every one of them. There's one on the left arm and three on the right arm. The stud work, on the sleeves were ridiculously. D2 did all the studding on my outfit. There's over 90 pyramid studs per sleeve. And over 20 something round studs per sleeve. The left sleeve has some spiked studs as well. Skirt: There's actually two skirts here. The top skirt is just a simple pleated skirt. Again, no patterns used. I had to sew up each pleat underneath so they would hold the pleats. There's probably a better way to do it, but I'm not sure how..lol There's two hooks and a zipper on the side of the skirt. The blue strip on the bottom was actually painted on using Vinyl dye by D2. The second skirt is just a simple A-line skirt with a side zipper. I made a strip of the triangles on Miku's skirt, then I traced that onto the skirt and cut it. Shoes: They were originally Nylon boots and I used the same trick as I did on the armbands, cutting the large belt material into 2 inch strips. Again added the buckle to each of them. The straps are attached to the boot. There's one round stud per strap, a total of 6 straps. Hair band: Miku has these signature hair bands:D I made them from two 1 inch strips of styrene, spray painted black with black plastic paint. Then I attached a red ribbon down the center of the styrene. It was bent at 3 inch increments. The bottom was closed off with a piece of black ribbon. The hairbands were attached using bobby pins, however, it will be attached on using hair clips. I painted the hair clips, but they weren't dry enough when I was doing this shoot. Styling Notes

I received this wig, the day of the shoot. So, I didn't have to style it. I will be cutting a bit off the back and trimming up the bangs.
