About this Costume
Construction Details:
The majority of the costume is built from scratch, and represents my first major machine sewn project.

Her corset was converted into a vest. The vest was the first garment I'd ever sewn by myself. It's made from an embossed moleskin with a flower pattern I felt appropriate. The gold is all crepe satin, and it's lined with it. So the majority of it is satin. Not an easy thing to work with for one's first time. The white detailing is a flower lace.

The pants are custom made in a material that looks so much like her socks it forced me to scrap the idea I had before of converting her skirt to pants with this instead. THey're fully detailed, with pockets and fly.

The skirt is represented by a three quarter circle cloak with caplet. I sculpted Mami's hair ornament to serve as a brooch. A large snap holds it closed

The boots are custom painted black cowboy boots I found at a thrift shop.

The beret was found at a thrift shop. The Soul Gem is painted sculpty set on a wire hanger flower.

The shirt is store bought, and trimmed in more satin.

The gloves are reused from my Sazh costume.

I also created her non-transformed Soul Gem. It's sculpty over an Easter egg. This required setting the clay in boiling water rather than the oven.
