Construction Details:

I wanted to match everyone else's Nekomimi maid uniform at the cafe, but let's do a new animal this year. ^_^ Used poplin for the fabric with some satin accents. Purple polka-dot fabric for the hippo details was from the red-tag pile in Joanns. Consists of three pieces: shirt from Cosmode pattern, black jumper modified a cheerleader circle skirt pattern, and own pattern for apron with pocket. The hippo on the pocket looks so derp XD (outlined with puff glitter paint). Hand-gathered all the ruffles, double thickness and 2:1 ruffle ratio. Covered buttons with polka-dot fabric, my favorite procedure (they look like poison mushrooms!) Boogley eyes on apron and headband for more derp-ness. Shoes from Baby the Stars Shine Bright.
