Since I was in the mood for self-torture, I decided to embroider all the little flowers on the dress. That took a while, and a few layers of skin. I was originally going to use pre-made ruffle stuff for the ruffly bits, but that wouldn't have been as much fun, so I made a few thousand yards of ruffle as well. Then I decided that hey, we have a button-press at school, why don't I make all the buttons myself! That took an hour, because there are A LOT OF BUTTONS. The shoecovers didn't quite work, but shoecovers are the bane of my cosplayer existence, so I wasn't that surprised.
