Construction Details:

I somehow managed to piece together a bunch of patterns I already had to create this xD; The jumper was originally a vest-esque pattern; I lowered the neckline, narrowed down the staps and extended the bottom out into the flared skirt. I had no clue if it would work when I started, but I made good use of my dress form and I'm pretty proud of the results ^__^! The jumper is made of red velveteen and is lined with a hefty duckcloth, which made the skirt flare out nice and wide without needing to use wire or anything, yay! Everything else is pretty self explanatory... simple white poplin shirt, velveteen skirt, and fleece legwarmers... although I painted the fabric for the bow tie, which was pretty fun ^^!

UPDATE FOR ALA 2012: Rehashed this a year later to perform with Angel Hearts for both the Masquerade Halftime Show and our first ever panel :D! I remade my bow to match the new found high-res images I stumbled across, and Marissa and I found the awesome GIANT BELLS for our bows while we were on the most legendary fabric district trip of all time... xD! I'm so happy to have found a size-accurate bell because it seriously leveled this costume's cuteness level by 10 fold, I love it x3!

Personal Thoughts:

I've always wanted to make a Christmas themed costume! I heard some of the girls from Angel Hearts were thinking about putting together a Holy Night IM@S group, so I jumped on it... I wanted something new to wear to ALA 2011, and that conventions about as close to Christmas as you're gonna get, so it works, haha! I'm happy that the rest of the girls decided to make all their Holy Night outfits a year later for ALA 2012 because IM@S costumes are ALWAYS more adorable in large numbers! x3

Wig Review

I love this wig so much, but it's over a year old and on it's last leg, especially since I've not only worn it to several conventions, but I DANCE VIGOROUSLY in it... xD;; Just bought a new one, I hope it lives up to the cuteness of the Rose because this is seriously my favorite wig of all time and I wish it wasn't discontinued/dying... ;A;
