Construction Details:

This was made from duct tape and cardboard for a Halloween party in 1998. I fixed the head for Mikkakan 2001. The part of the costume I like the least is the waist. I really rushed to put that together in under 15 minutes in order to get to the Halloween party on time. It sucks. I tried to make a better one before Mikkakan and failed. I pulled it out of my closet to wear again at Mikkakan 2001. Sadly, after returning from the con for the day, I was tired and left it in my car. The next morning, the sun warmed up the insides of the car so much that the tape expanded and warped. The costume was (even more) ruined.

Even so, I kept it for years. When PortConMaine did a mecha theme, I thought about resurrecting it. Unfortunately, the head (one of the only things that DID survive the previous damage) had fallen apart from years of neglect in storage. I did not attempt to repair it and this will likely end up in the garbage at some point soon.

Personal Thoughts:

I made this for Halloween a few years back. Why? Optimus Prime is king.
