Construction Details:

Made everything you see on this costume minus the leggings and the tiera, (gift from Jowy). Since I didn't have a serger. I fake serged everything on my sewing machine, and anything that didn't was anti-frayed. The costume is lined, and has a nice little flippy in the back that I enjoyed just because. The belt has hocks that secure it. It wasn't hard to construct, but the fabric was a little wonky to handle especially the ironing process. The weapons were made out of one giant plank of wood that had to be hand sawed, and then later hand painted (including the designs).

Personal Thoughts:

I LOVE SUIKODEN 1 AND 2. And Riou was one of the very first characters I have EVER cosplayed; since this was around 6 or 7 years ago, you can imagine how awful the quality it was. However, finally years later, I wanted so much to revive the character I loved so much with my improved (although not best) capabilities. This was around 2 years ago when I first finally finished this costume... but I had NO pictures of it until now. Thank you so much to Lady Arieta for being my lovely Jowy, and Digikoomi for being our wonderful phtographer. I have no words to describe how fun that shoot was. The only other thing I wanted to say is .... (not)TRAGIC IN THE RAIN!!
