Construction Details:

Though I completed this costume in less than a month, its construction constituted many challenges. I made it a into two pieces, a bodice and then a skirt/bustle.

Each ruffle was made by hand. I enjoyed the extra control of hand sewing and then gathering!

To create better depth, I used two different kinds of satin and then a matching organza.

The tights were hand painted while I was wearing them. Jack of Arts made the flowers while I sewed and drew the rest of the details. I am extremely ticklish, which made it a difficult job.

I stuff an entire pillow into the bustle, earning me the loving nickname of "pillow butt"

My makeup was also by Jack of Arts.

Personal Thoughts:

Though this costume was not the most comfortable to wear, I felt like a princess.

Styling Notes

I pulled a normal wig into low ponytails with a zig zag hair line in the back.

Wig Review

Really excellent base wig. Thick and easy to remove tangles.
