Construction Details:

This costume took around 6 weeks to make at a non-stop pace. All the fabrics have been dyed or re-colored in complimenting shades of blue and purple. Everything is covered in rhinestones, even the braids on the wig! I wanted to focus on the Diamond Dust aspect of Shiva and went all out with beading and rhinestones to make her sparkle.

The tights and bodysuit are semi-sheer 4-way stretch nylon dyed blue and feature blue and purple spandex appliques sewn on by hand. The boot covers, gloves, and bikini bottoms are light blue spandex dyed to dark blue and the boot covers have a gradient to purple. All the appliques are outlined in hand glued sequins and rhinestones. The belt is silver vinyl with blue silk ribbon and a blue sequin border sewn on and has hand sewn bugle bead and drop bead dangles. The collar is a foam base covered with silver tape and light blue rhinestone strips and is dotted with clear rhinestones for a ice crystal effect. The cape is pink organza gradient dyed from blue into purple. It features flame/magic designs Heat 'n Bonded on with iridescent organza and decorated with AB rhinestones.

This costume is so much fun to wear and I love how it sparkles in the light!
