Construction Details:

This may be a simple-looking school uniform, but looks may be deceiving. This is by far one of the most challenging costumes I have ever made! I put in over 40 hours into making the costume. I had to make everything from scratch such as the buttons, patches, jacket, trims, collar, skirt, cuffs, etc. You wouldn't believe how much work went into this costume.

Personal Thoughts:

When I started watching Genshiken (as suggested by Love Meeko), I realized that the characters loved watching an anime called Kujibiki Unbalance. I really liked Kasumi in Kuji-un, but I didn't want to cosplay her alone. It turned out that Love Meeko was also interested in cosplaying President Ritsuko. How very fitting! The rest was history. The overall look of the uniform is really cool!
