Construction Details:

The base fabrics for the jacket are much more light than I normally would have chosen for such a jacket, however it flowed well like it did in the show, and when sewn carefully, it turned out how I wanted.
nThe necklace cross I carved out of soft wood and strung beads to it before spray painting it gold. The black sparkly fabric was the most painful the sew with since the glue used to keep the sparkle on would ruin my sewing machine if used to much with it. Thankfully there were mostly trim needed with the fabric to sew onto the jacket and the pants. The pants were made out of a lovely black pleather.

Personal Thoughts:

The moment I saw the preview for the extra scene ' Welcome to the Madness' I knew I had to cosplay this version of Yuri. I went out and bought fabric for him right away. I took my time over the summer to make him, just deciding to take it slow since there was no rush. Now that it's done, I'm very proud of it and hope to wear it as often as I can to cons. This outfit really makes a statement about Yuri as a character. It is like him coming out to the world, and not being afraid to show who he is. A winner who will wear what he wants, whether they like it or not.
