About this Costume
Construction Details:
Angel Wings: Appx 100 hours of work. These wings span 6 feet in width and have 286 real turkey feathers on them. I hand shaped the wire armature, engineered an acryllic backplate and harness system, as well as hand cut and attached every single feather. LED's were later added to the wings for another competitive touch.

Plugsuit ver 1: This was my first plugsuit and took about 60 hours to make. Most of this was forming my own armor patterns and working on forming and shaping EVA foam for the first time. There was also one working LED light in the center of the suit. This suit was retired in 2016 since a more user friendly suit was created. Competed in PHXCC, AX, and Saboten masquerades.

Plugsuit ver 2: This second suit was a rebuild from the first version. The base suit was a custom made zentai in a limited edition color that fit Kaworu's canon plugsuit more accurately. The armor of the plugsuit was made from a thermoplastic known as kydex. About 70 hours of work went into patterning and forming each kydex portion of the armor. This was competed with at Taiyou, AX and Saboten Con.

Plugsuit ver 3: This plugsuit is the newest version as well as the most difficult in constructing. It is actually a hand painted latex plugsuit with fosshape armor on top. Painting on the latex was an arduous task that took up 40 hours while the other 40 hours was spent, patterning and shaping the fosshape armor. This suit has been competed with at AX and Saboten Con.

Lance of Longinus: This lance is created with thermoplastic beads. These beads were melted, colored, and laboriously formed over the course of 20 hours. The shaft is colored PVC.
Personal Thoughts:
Kaworu's cosplay is my passion project for almost as long as I have been cosplaying. I have poured blood, sweat, tears, and a large amount of money into all the various plugsuits and accessories I have made for him. He is also my main competition cosplay and I have competed in around 6 masquerades with him.
