Construction Details:

I wanted a beautiful fabric instead of just satin but the dupioni silk didn't flow nicely against the underskirt, but because it cost so much I won't be remaking it! I used organza and glitter tulle for the underskirt, and glitter tulle to make all the bows.

Wig: (unfortunately because it's not a branded wig I can't add the details there)
I purchased 2 wigs on Amazon. I used the black one as a based, and tore the dark purple one apart and sewed the wefts into the black one like highlights.

I found a few different youtube videos on how to make the odangos. Using a few different methods, I sliced about a 1/5 of the bottom off of a small styrofoam ball, and made a hole through the center. I covered it in black electrical tape for good measure. I used loose hair wefts and hot glued the ends together, stablizing it through the center of the hole and fanning the hair over the ball, then secured it with a rubber band underneath, and then covered it all in hairspray. I attached them to the wig with bobby pins.

Personal Thoughts:

I have always wanted to do this costume! I managed to get it done in 5 days straight.
