Construction Details:

No patterns were used for any portion of the costume. The bodice and skirt were separate, and both were made with casa satin. The bodice was terribly constructed without boning, with fusible glue webbing for structure, and a side zipper. The same lace was used for the sleeves and the bow. The bow's structure was made with a wire hanger bent and painted black, then covered with the lace and glued to a thine, black headband. The skirt was a circle skirt and I used a stencil and fabric paint for the border. I bought the hoopskirt, after my attempt at making one failed, and I made a thin petticoat made of dark yellow/gold tulle, which had some cute flower stitches around the middle and ruffles at the bottom. The arm bands were made of the same materials as the dress, held up by a tight fit and elastic band, and the pattern was basically a mini circle skirt. The belt and belt bow was wade of bridle satin and snapped all together at the back. I made the pendant out of model magic and used ribbon for the choker, snaps in the back.

Personal Thoughts:

The construction wasn't as good as I'd like, but, like most other costumes, I learned a lot. I plan to remake it eventually.

I just pinned the bans to the side.
