Construction Details:

The kimono was made from linen, with a cotton juban (so it's easy wash for the under layer). I used the Folkwear pattern as a guide for making the hakama, and used a gray cotton twill for those.


The tekkou were also made from cotton, a dark navy on the outside and a light blue cotton for the inside lining. I used a gray cotton to make tubes and inverted them for the ties.


The swords were a wooden "toy" set I stripped and then reworked and repainted to make them more like the art.

Styling Notes

Inoli helped style the wig by adding some wefts to the sides and stumped it (more than it was to start with), to be more secure for the ponytail.
