About this Costume
Construction Details:
*Remember, a lot of onstruction choices were made due to the last-minute nature of this costume.

Jacket: I made the entire jacket out of fleece because the color was ok and I was under the impression that New York was going to be cold. It was not, I was pretty toasty. xD For the panels, instead of cutting out separate pieces I bunched up the fabric evenly and sewed pin tucks on the wrong-side of the fabric. I say pin tucks but they were really quite wide, I'm not sure how to describe this process in accurate terms. For myself, this seemed like a better way to make sure everything was sewn evenly and it just required some math while making the pattern. This had to be done to the bodice, sleeves, and HOOD as well. That hood was the most problematic...and dare I say it, unfinished. Front decoration is white cord tied into a bow with pompoms glued at each end, might've made it a little too big but I just wanted it to look perky. Snaps on the jacket to close.

Undershirt: It is actually just one shirt, because of course when you need to find two shirts of the right color, that's when you can't find anything. I found a dark pink men's t-shirt from Old Navy which I had to alter slightly, and bought lilac broadcloth fabric to attach sleeves and a stripe to the pink shirt. Just a STRIPE, because what's the point when you never see Hinata with the jacket off and I'm cutting out extra work? It's like a stripe dickie and it saved me on layers I'd have to wear.

Shorts: Bought khaki shorts that were way too big and altered them for that a-line look.
Personal Thoughts:
Wasn't sure what Naruto cosplay I wanted to bring to NYCC...finally decided to pull this together last minute. So glad that I did! Thank you for all your hard work Kishimoto-sensei.
