Construction Details:

Started with a Halloween costume pattern as a base. Changed it to a super high neckline and made the sleeves three times as puffy. Made my own high collar pattern(which was a mistake). Skirt was just a circle skirt that was half green and black!

Apron is just a weird oval-ish shape with lace trim. The yellow/gold design was painted on with freezer paper and then satin stitched. Hand gathered the ruffles on the apron, which really, wasn't so bad.

I used black bottom weight twill for the dress, cream sateen for the apron and details, and broadcloath for the green part of the skirt (lol). The ribbons are all satin ribbon which is why they look so shiny and niiiiiiiice.

Personal Thoughts:

Felt a little bit like I was wearing a leg avenue costume the whole day but I guess maid outfits aren't for me.
