Construction Details:

The top had to be rib knit, so I found a rib knit shirt a thrift shop, cut it up, took it in, and hemmed it again.

I made my own pattern for the leggings. They are made from a heavy moleskin 4-way stretch fabric. I made the piping with black wet look spandex and various fillers, including shoelaces (lol I didn't want to go to the store, and it worked!) First I sewed the two lines of vertical piping, then sewed the pants together, then cut them horizontally around my knees and sewed the horizontal piping. I am very surprised that I was able to knock these out in a day, that my idea worked, and that I can comfortably and wear these things, lol! I put a simple facing on the top and tacked the belt on, since there aren't any visible belt loops. Belt is thrifted, too.

RUBBER SUSPENDERS! These are the defining, weirdest part of this costume for sure. I was going to cast them out of Dragonskin, as a matter of fact, I still have the materials, but I chickened out. I really hate casting, the bubbles, the mess, and other issues. So, I found an orange rubber sheet on the internet and cut it out. I used Jia Jem's pattern as a base, but had difficulty getting it just the right size and altered it quite a bit anyway. I used a drill press/hole saw to cut out the circles. It worked amazingly well and was quick to do once I got the hang of it! (yay hubby for helping me!) Super glue worked to attach the ends together.

Shoes are from Naturalizer/Famous Footwear. I really couldn't find anything quite like hers, but these are cute and have a good heel.

For the wig, I butchered and teased up my old Lina Inverse wig. I used Rufflebutt's tutorial with the gluestick-twisting. It didn't work as well since Epic Cosplay's fibers and are so smooth and shiny, but I think it looks fine, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this particular wig which is supposed to look like trash. I also added yellow paint to the roots.
