About this Costume
Construction Details:
the top is just a princess seam bodice bodice pattern that i altered to extend it out into basically circle-skirt like petal things for that weird double skirt thing she has going on. i then made a regular, longer gathered skirt and attached that to the bodice lining so it's basically a double layered dress. i then wore a petticoat that i made and attached lace to the bottom of underneath.

the dress base is a black satin that i bought literally 10 yards of and used for both this costume and my homucifer costume. the white bib thing is literally just a piece of white satin that i cut into a bib shape and sewed a million ruffles onto.

the capelet is a separate piece, it ties in the front with a bow. it's hard to tell if her collar is white or purple but in some images it's definitely purple and i liked the bit of color it added so i went with that.

petti is just tulle with an organza circle skirt on top and lace attached to the bottom

i made TONS OF RUFFLES for the skirt and the capelet and then although her top skirt technically has ruffles rather than lace, i decided that i preferred the look of lace because i felt it added a little more variety and it was less bulky. similarly the buttons on the front of her dress are supposed to be just plain black buttons, but i found the clock buttons and loved the idea so i just went with that. the back of her dress TECHNICALLY has like 5 million tiny buttons for closure but since my hair covered my back anyway i didn't really see the point in spending tons of time making buttonholes and i just used a zipper instead.

the lines on my face were just painted on.

i walked around the con with no shoes on all day for this cosplay. Dedication
Personal Thoughts:
