Construction Details:

The cloak is a generic half-circle pattern with a hood, plus an extra 'scarf' for draping made out of excess fabric. The scarf is a length of Jo-ann knit. I hand-patterned the shirt and sleeves to have Kite's turtleneck silhouette and voluminous sleeves (as well as the shirt-tail). I made the corset by cutting front/back pieces wider and taller than needed, sewing together, then cutting into strips to sew back together for the striped seam look. I set in silver grommets with a hammer. The belt was also hand-made with a pirate-y buckle found in the NYC fabric district. I bought gloves, pants, and used my Attack on Titan boots for this cosplay. Kacielacie/Mikidachan came over to style the wig for me--she combined a Rocky in a dark ash blonde to match my scalp, with sewn-on scraps from a magenta Magnum, to get the mohawk effect. The gun was hand-sculpted and painted by my roommate Recoffthevine!

Personal Thoughts:

Final Arcanum is the brainchild of my best friend from college, Skwinky--a bunch of us, led up by shinjaninja, decided to cosplay her comic for a birthday surprise! It was so touching to look around the hotel room and see her characters milling around before she was led on a scavenger hunt up to us so we could surprise her. WE LOVE YOU STEPHHHH
