About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The leggings for SG were marked, cut, hand dyed & then sewn back together. Hat will one day be redone; it needs to be longer. Wings are fabric & wire.
Bug a boo's arms/legs used two different fabrics with a foam structure on the inside. Claws/teeth are felt. Head is foam & fabric w/styrofoam & felt eyes. Horns are felt. Lips & tail are plastic tubing w/wire covered in felt. Nose is sprayed foam w/paint pen details.
Low tech, but comfortable.

- Pictured L to R: Scary Godmother, Jill Thompson (the creator) & Bug-a-Boo. Jill was not able to make it to the Masquerade on Saturday, so we dressed up & came to her booth on Sunday. So far there are four childrens books, two animated specials, several comics & one play all based on her Scary Godmother series. Jill is best known for her work on DC's Vertigo line (Sandman/Death). Her husband, Brian Azzarello, works on 100 Bullets. They are both great to sit & talk with.
We may remake Bug-a-Boo one day as he now lives in Jill's office.
