About this Costume
Construction Details:
For over brown jacket, I just got a thrift store vest that I got cut off shorter and hit several times with green and brown dyes. The shoulder pad area was made with some faux leather, mesh from the renments section, and bias tape. The fur was just some tame fake fur.
The Pink tank top was a white spaghetti strap I found at the thrift store that I cut shorter and hemmed, and hit with some pink dye that turned Hot pink, I washed it in hot water to fade it, and used sharpie to add the cell shade lines.
The yellow jacket was a long sleeve shirt that had some buttons half way done. I cut on the outside of the buttons to make it a big v-neck, and cut the sleeves and length off and hemmed it, all black lines were added with sharpie.
The gloves where motorcyclist gloves that I trimmed because they were too big and added faux brown leather on the inside to show through the holes.
The grey crotch part is some leggings that I cut to the knees.
the brown pants where some brown skinny jeans I got at a Wet Seal store. I cut out the crotch and butt area to make them chaps, and then hit them with a dark brown dye on the inside thigh area to make them two tone.
The digistruct was just a cardboard box that I velcroed some battery LED lights inside and put some light blue plastic over to make it glow. It's held into place with elastic and Velcro.
The boots were found at a thrift store, and the shin guards were made from craft foam and acrylic paint. It is held into place with thick faux leather attached with velcro.
Personal Thoughts:
This was my first time ever making a costume, and boy was it an interesting experience. I loved doing it though.
