Construction Details:

There are different parts to this cosplay- the Top/bodice, layer skirt, petticoat, sleeves, choker, veil, gold flowers, wig, and staff. Because I entered this into the cosplay contest at the 2014 Kawaii Kon in Hawaii, Everything HAD to be made by me. So everything here was made from scratch.
-Top: Is an old strapless top I had which I altered to fit me better- then I cut the back to make the top open at the bottom to make it fit to the dress curve- Added 3 layers to the top- (two in the split in the back, and one all the way around).
-Layer skirt: So the bodice wouldn't weigh down on me, I made the skirt separate and made 3 layers.All the fabric was soldered on the edge to keep it from fraying and to make the exact design pattern. Then I went along the edges and hand sewed the gold ribbon- then added the details along the ends with the gold ribbon too. Added all the layers together and made the skirt.
-Sleeves: Made the sleeves (patterned, sewed---) added the extra white fabric to hang down--- same thing with the gold ribbon.
-choker was actually easy- it came last with whatever fabric was left over- I soldered the fabric, stitched the gold, added the crystals, then done-
-veil was the same way as the skirt- soldered fabric, hand stitched the gold, then put it all together onto a head band made out of wire and felt that I made and had a wire comb attatched to the top to hold in the wig-
-The gold flowers held with the little hair clips that most hair extension pieces have- the flowers were made from a gold poinsettia (popular during christmas) I found at a local craft store~ I added the beads and gold berries to it as well----
-Wig: I bought a cheap one online then cut and styled it to look ohkay for myself.
-Staff: easy construction- using only project foam board from walmart and a pole from lowes. Layering the foam board and cutting it a certain angle made the depth and extra details to the staff--- after that it was all hot glue and gold paint.

Personal Thoughts:

This dress was the hardest thing to make but I had a blast wearing it! I still plan on wearing this for a while- Its to big not too (not to mention the work-) Its so much fun to wear as well- Its just so big and flow-y I love to just move around in it.

Wig Review

bought at aliexpress.--- I don't know if ill be ordering form there again because of how late the wig came in. (good thing i ordered it really ahead of time.)---(then again its from china to hawaii so...) *shipping to hawaii takes longer cause it gets to the mainland first then to hawaii.
