Construction Details:

all the armor pieces were patterned and made by me. usually my boyfriend does the armor stuff but i made my own this time with minimal help. all the armor is made of craft foam sandwiched between worbla. most of the pieces were really simple and i added most of the detailing with paint. the trim is made from scrap of worbla molded to the edge of the main part. used wood glue to seal the armor then primed with spray paint primer and painted with acrylic artist paints. clear top coat then satin spray for a nicer not super shiny finish. the arm and leg pieces just slip on. the paldron is held on with elastic. the neck piece ties on with a ribbon and the little horns also held in place with elastic. rnrnmost of the fabric parts of this costume are made with bottom weight i bought at joanns. i went with that fabric because it's thick and stiff and is kind of the same material that karate gi's are made of. everything is lined and top stitched. not really much to say, i patterned everything from scratch and sewed it myself. luckily it was pretty easy because it didn't have to fit very well. the belt holds everything up and together. i had to dye the socks purple using rit because i couldn't find anything the right color.rnrnthe shoes are probably what i'm most proud of about this costume. i took a pair of really cheap flip flops and built on top of them. i made patterns by draping with scrap fabric. the shoes lace up the back. the fabric parts are just hot glued to the flip flop base. rnrnthe mini sword i bought online and repainted.

Personal Thoughts:

tbh i don't even like queen's blade that much but i really wanted to cosplay with my friend jackal at otakon and this ninja babe is right up my alley. besides the ginormous boobs of course.
