Construction Details:

Made with swim-suit fabrics from Fabrics 'R Us. Modified commercial patterns for the top and the bikini bottoms. I sewed each individual magenta stripe onto the light-pink spandex for the top and bottoms. The skirt was hand-pleated spandex to resemble ruffles because trying to hand gather ruffles out of spandex = nope.
The arm ruffles are pleated organza and the same fabric was used on the headband, backed with yellow poplin. The choker is made of black poplin with yellow puff balls from Daiso (Japan). Black strap cork platform sandal shoes are from Cathy Jean and I added black grosgrain ribbon for the lace up straps.

Personal Thoughts:

I decided to make this for the Nor Cal Summer Cosplay Gathering (2014) since a group of Love Live cosplayers were planning the same outfits too. There was a small beach area to take pictures. We even did a small sample of the dance at the gathering.
