Oh man. The amount of work that went into this costume!
I started during wonter break, and then had to halt my progress for a while because of school.
By the time I had finished, I had lost 20 pounds, there was no time to take it in so I was sort of drowning in my bodice and the skirt.
I drafted my own patterns for the skirt and bodice, for the cape I used a couple of references and drafted a happy medium pattern from that.
the snowflakes are hand painted on.
I made a simple sweetheart bodice and adhered squoval shaped foam *i used a corner cutter to make the shapes* in three different metallic colors. I added the gems last but I would like to redo the bodice so that it fits better.
I used a jade ombre chiffon for the skirt.
I made the shoes out of craft foam that i cut, shaped, and molded with heat, then painted *i sealed the foam with mod podge first*
The wig is from Arda. It's Suzie in Ash Blonde.
I added an entire set of long ash blond wefts *also from arda* to the base of the wig to make the braid thicker *i plan on redoing the wig with even more wefts*
I restyled the wig a few times before I was 100% happy with it.
it held out really well at a-kon, the underside of the braid that rests on my shoulder is a little frayed but that is a costume issue. it was rubbing against the details at the top of the costumes so that was to be expected.
I went through several different shades of purple and lilac eyeshadows before finding the right combination I wanted.
the contacts are Freshlooks Brilliant Blue. - Personal Thoughts:
- I finallt finished the dress!!! literally jist in time for a-kon!
Misona and her sister came over and helped me finish painting the bodice and the cape.
without them I would not habe finished in time!

- Wig Review
- I absolutely loved working with this wig!
I will pretty much probably only use arda wigs from now on *unless i literally can't find what i need*
