About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I'm incredibly pleased with how well the base dress turned out--I decided to do fully finished applique with satin stitch for the stripes, and it's probably one of the cleaneset pieces I've made so far.
Base dress is stretch twill with satin and kona cotton applique details. Boots are also stretch twill, built over nude dance heels. Armband and hair "wings" are craft foam armor. - Personal Thoughts:
- This was a really great costume to work on, all the detailing is so much more work than I have done in the past, so it was a good experience. It was also my first time making a major prop (that is, anything more than just painting something) so I learned a lot with that as well.
