Personal Thoughts:
This was my first armor build. I originally intended to do Shackle Regalia MKII using stilts (since Gamagoori is always "bigger than you"), but AX banned them, so I sadly had to call that off. However, I had a fascination for Satsuki's sword Bakuzan, from its black blade, signature prongs, and mating sheath/guard mechanism. I just had to make a replica, my own Bakuzan. But how could I show it off? Who's a sword-wielding male in Kill la Kill? I'm not yet ready to do crossplaying. And that's how I chose to do Blade Regalia MKIII instead.

This was a speed build since it was a last second thought. It's not as refined as my usual standards, but it was more a test of how much and how well I can do in a week, and I was pleasantly surprised. It still needs refinements on many parts, but it was wearable within a week for Anime Conji 2014, and will be perfected for AX where I hope and predict TRIGGER guests will be present (and possibly work with them as a cosplay volunteer; I'm sure they'd appreciate a Blade Regalia).
