Construction Details:

I got to take into her past and present when making costume choices. Shes a transplant from the big city that has laid serious routes in the small town. So she might have the styling and accessories of her past, but she isn't too flashy. You know shes got a love for speed and the open road. So I chose sleek barely there sheen in the fabric, and classic fit. Yes, I have a pinstripe 'tattoo'. Name badge and Cozy Cone hair clips to personalize the look. Hair color was chosen to match the real life inspiration.

Personal Thoughts:

Designing human Cars was a fun project. To take the car design, with the character's personality and job, even the real life inspiration into account was a pleasure. That and I love Pixar. ^_^

Sally is a Porsche Carrera and a hotel proprietor. She used to be a lawyer in California but left it all once she fell in love with Radiator Springs. Her character was inspired by Dawn Welch of the Rock Café along Route 66. The Rock Café had flickering, yet refurbished, neon signs when the Pixar team stopped in their epic research road trip.
