Construction Details:

I combined a Simplicity Project Runway blazer pattern (that I converted to a vest) with a pleated skirt pattern. I made sure the pleats on the skirt were wide enough for the pattern to be seen. The vest is lined with black fabric. Black hemming lace was added to the bottom of the skirt. I made a matching pink bow for the collar and a pin with a necklace chain. The rhinestone kitty ears are from Pipstarpop of Etsy.

Personal Thoughts:

I was browsing JoAnns and came upon a really cute gray plaid Hello Kitty print fabric. Instantly I thought to make a school girl outfit based on the the AKB48 / IM@S red plaid designs. I made it with more pink to emphasize the trim and accents.
