Construction Details:

Doing Sinbad back when I did was rather difficult. There weren't many good pictures around it was hard to figure out what he really is wearing. In the end I decided to go for dark blue, wide pants, a dark blue wrap around skirt, a white skirt for the lower part and a purple shirt with a dark blue undershirt for the upper part. I chose to do both, pants AND skirt because in the manga it appears to be pants sometimes and a skirt in other panels. Also the size changed quite a lot and I could achieve this easily with a wrap around skirt. Also, the shirt is a lot different from the one in the anime where he wears a bolero jacket (WTF?). I decided for a patterned silk fabric for this to make it look more royal, after all he's a king.
The jewelry was a little more difficult than the clothes. The bracelets are from rubber foam and decorated with hot glue, fimo (heat drying modeling clay), cord and pearls. The necklaces are rubber form pieces with gemstones on it. both of the pendant pieces (the golden one with red stones and the... moonfairy (?) with purple stone) are done with fimo. The stones are colored with nail polish to give them a nicer look, everything else was spray-painted.

Personal Thoughts:

My first magi cosplay. It was rushed and most of it will be redone next year, but I like it nonetheless~
