About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Not really difficult. Pants were cut out like a Hakama and held together by elastic band on the top and the ankles. I made sure to not add elastic to the front so it looks nicely. Black shirt was sewn together and trimmed with bias tape I hand sewed in the back to have it seamless. Scarf sewn from peach colored fabric. First version of jewelry was fake leather sewn together and stuffed with fiberfill. Second version of the bracelets is rope, covered with liner and golden vinyl. Completely hand sewn.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Judal has always been my favorite character from magi and it took me more than a year to finally have the courage to make this costume. My favorite costume so far.

Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- The wig contains 1 basic wig and 2 clip on extensions for the braid. The base wig was cut and some few wefts were left long in the back and added into the braid. The braid consists of 11 balls made of usual black tights I sewed into balls and stuffed with fiberfill. Next I added a layer of net tights because it's tear-resistant. I put all the balls onto a strong wire and added layer after layer of wefts to each ball. Then I sewed the whole thing onto the wig. I tied the hair after each ball (including the long leftover wefts from the wig) and fixed it with hairspray, then I restyled the base wig and that's it. Took ages, was totally worth it.
