Construction Details:

This is made entirely out of a green-yellow taffeta, which was a lucky find in the Red Tag section of Joann's during one of their 50% Red Tag sales (love those), so it only cost me $3 a yard.

I used McCalls pattern 6463 from the waist up for the bodice of the dress. It's self lined, and I was lazy and didn't put any of the boning that the pattern called for. The remainder of the dress is six long petals, to resemble her slime. Each one is finished with a rolled hem, then gathered into the bodice. The dress zips up with an invisible zipper.

Because all except the back seam go up above my hips, I wore olive green tights from We Love Colors. My crown is made from styrine (I just cut it out, heated it up with a heat gun, and spray painted it), with a painted rhinestone glued on.

Personal Thoughts:

I love Adventure Time and was wicked excited when Kurthy133 asked me to be in her AT Princess group at Dragon*Con. I love Slime Princess, so I chose her. I also made my friend's Muscle Princess costume.
