About this Costume
Construction Details:
The sword took about 9 months to complete, made from a 7ft. board of wood. I created blue-prints from reference pictures and with that traced out the drawing onto the wood and cut it out. Shaved down the details with a dremel, but for some reason being the sword was not long enough. I was creating to life size and proportions to myself, so i got another 5ft. board and added on the missing pieces. The green paint lines are an industrial strength glow in the dark paint. The outfit was put together from all different sources, mainly since i didnt have much experience with sewing and clothes, i had many of my friends either assist or create them for me. The face cancer is actually created from real crystals i got from a hiking trip to some crystal caverns, i applied it to my face with a prop adhesive. The arm of the king (Shu's Void) was simply a black glove with the same green paint on the sword.
Personal Thoughts:
This form of Shu is a very unique one, being his cancer form attaching the face cancer is no easy task. But this was my favorite form of him so i decided to create it despite the fact that Inori's void took upon a different color and detail.
