Construction Details:

I gutted the petticoat I made for my retired Maylene cosplay and used it for the vest's lining. I didn't have to buy any fabric to make this because I used scraps from previous costumes! Gray suiting leftover from Inoue for the vest, deep scarlet satin from Terra for accents, and gray suiting leftover from a Mako commission for the skirt and sailor collar.

I bought white knee-high socks from Target and sewed on a red ribbon cut on the bias to make them accurate to Rei's.

The biggest find on this cosplay were the shoes. I got them from eBay for $14 AND Vera Wang in my size! x3 So lucky!

Personal Thoughts:

The two of us had wanted to cosplay Sailor Moon since last year but kept putting it off. It finally happened at SuperCon, though! X3 I've always liked Rei's school uniform because the colors and style is so cute. Sailor collars are getting progressively easier to make, too, but I still feel like there is some trick I'm not getting...
